Discussion #1 Weight Management


In trying to boost the interactive element here, each week we'll have a Tuesday and Discussion topic. Today, I touch on an issue that I think women on average face, that of weight management-gain or loss. So let us know, Are you trying to lose or gain weight? Are you meeting your target? What does or does not work for you? Fire off your feedback and at the end of the week, we'll invite a professional dietitian to provide feedback on what you need to do to make weight management work for you.

Man am I trying to lose weight. I have about 35 lbs of stubborn fat and I've been trying for the past 6 months to lose it. I bought this product I saw in the papers (something that says melt away belly fat in 2 weeks) and yet I am still waiting. I have started jogging in emancipation park though and trying to drink more water and eat more vegetables. Let's see how this goes

I want to gain a few more pounds...the junk in the trunk aint workin out right now...just 5-10 more pounds...I find that B complex boosts my appetite as well as peritol tablets (AKA Chicken Pill) lol but these things make you sleep like crazy but when you wake up meeenngg U WILL EAT ANYTHING IN SIGHT!...Hopefully by my bday Nov. 20 I can reach somewhere close to those 5-10 pounds

Losing weight is all about calories consumed and calories expended . The easiest way to lose weight is to become more mindful of food intake. Eating the right portions and increasing especially your vegetable intake. The plate should be quarter meat kind quarter starch kind and half veggie, visualize it. Exercise at least 5 days per week and eating every 3 to 4 hours to keep the metabolic rate up and calorie burn constant. Weight loss is the side line to eating ahealthier way with a few adjustments, there is no quick fix aor magic bullet just hard work to do it and understanding.

Weight gain on the other hand is eating more than expended. Adding a healthier amount of calories to meals eating an extra sering of starch at each meal and maybe an extra serving of fruit. Eating or drinking at least 3 servings of dairy per day and even supplemental meal drinks.
